A life of prayer

Both before and during your time at seminary you will be encouraged and guided in deepening your life of prayer which is at the heart of your relationship with God, and your openness to his call.

You will take part in the communal prayer and worship of the Church which includes the Divine Office (the daily prayer of the Church) and especially through daily Mass.

As a priest you will celebrate the Mass by which the Church is drawn together into union with the Lord who becomes truly present to us, and in fellowship with one another. In addition you will develop patterns of personal prayer which will include times of meditation on the scriptures, devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and reading from the spiritual tradition of the Church.
