Deanery Vocation Masses
Masses launch prayer initiative
Each year, the deanery vocations promotion group Masses are celebrated to pray for vocations and to remind us all of the need to promote vocations to all.
In the Rugby deanery, the Mass was celebrated at St. Anne’s parish, Chapel End, Nuneaton on Friday 30th November 2007. Fr. Eddie Clare, Vocations Director preached a most inspiring homily.
In the Coventry deanery, the Mass was held at Sacred Heart parish, Coventry on Monday 26th November 2007. The main celebrant was Bishop William Kenney who was joined by priests and religious of the deanery, alongside schools and parishioners.
The North Staffs Mass was held at Birches Head, on Thursday 1st May 2008 and was presided over by Rt. Rev Mgr Pat Mckinney. The Mass was well attended and was generally considered a fulfilling occasion.
The Walsall Mass took place on Tuesday 30th October 2007. His Grace, Archbishop Vincent Nichols was the principal celebrant. Many school pupils attended the Mass at Holy Cross, West Bromwich. All who attended the Mass enjoyed an truly inspiring occasion.
