Support our seminarians in their journey to priesthood.

The CTF (previously known as the Priests' Training Fund) exists primarily to support our seminarians – men in formation to be our future priests of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. The CTF also supports the permanent diaconate for our diocese – providing for the training of men who serve as deacons in our parishes. It costs approximately £30 000 a year to support each seminarian. This covers seminary fees, living costs, essential study materials, travel and pastoral placements.

Your money helps provide:

• Discernment opportunities,

• Financial support for seminarians,

• Permanent diaconate formation,

• Vocation promotion in our schools and parishes,

• Ongoing formation of priests.

Without you, we wouldn’t be able to provide for the future shepherds in our diocese. Hopefully, you will be able to support us through your prayer and giving. Thank you.

There are two ways to contribute regularly:
  • Standing order direct from your bank

Download, print and complete the standing order form below. You can increase the value of donations by signing a Gift Aid declaration in favour of the CTF.

  • Through envelopes in your parish's collection

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation can be Gift Aided. This means that for every £1 you donate, we can claim 25p extra from the Government. Please see the information on the standing order form.
