National Guild Mass

The Archdiocese of Birmingham is privileged to have been asked to host the National Mass for the Guild of Saint Stephen, on behalf of the Archconfraternity in Westminster.

Archbishop Bernard Longley will be principal celebrant and homilist at the Mass, to which servers from across the country are invited, on Saturday 25th September 2021 at 12 noon, at the parish of Ss. Mary & John, Wolverhampton. After Mass, there will be refreshments in parish centre.

We are grateful to Fr. Paweł Bielak, the Pauline Fathers and the parish community for hosting us.

To reserve places, please book FREE tickets on Eventbrite.

Although we hope all COVID restrictions will have been lifted by September, for the comfort and safety of all attending, we are operating a booking system for FREE tickets for this event. Please note that the Archdiocese of Birmingham is not responsible for external websites.

If you have any problems using this to book, please contact us.

How to get there:

Wolverhampton is well-served by transport links, for those from the Archdiocese of Birmingham and beyond. The train and bus stations are around 10 mins walk away.

There is ample nearby paid parking, such as:

  • NCP The Wulfrun Centre - WV1 3BA

  • NCP Summer Row - WV2 4L

  • St. George's - WV2 1BD

  • Bell Street, the Mander Centre - WV1 3RP

The nearby St. John's retail park should not be used, as parking is strictly for a maximum of 2 hours, no return.

Coaches are able to drop off outside the church. Please note that there is very little parking at the church itself, which is only by prior arrangement with us.

If you arrive early in Wolverhampton, you can visit shops, buy refreshments and access toilets at the nearby Wulfrun Centre. The Parish Hall will be open for vesting from 11am.
