Diocesan Priests

Meet some of the diocesan priests of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. Some are newly ordained and others have been priests for a longer time. Here, our priests speak about how seminary formation has helped them to engage in parish work, the challenges they have to overcome whilst being a priest and some great advice for current discerners.

Fr. Benedict Skipper

Ordained to the priesthood in 2020 at St. Chad's Cathedral, Fr. Benedict speaks about: 

  • What it is like to be a priest after so many years of seminary formation,

  • How he has adjusted to his new life in a parish environment,

  • The aspects of priestly ministry in the parish that he is looking forward to getting more involved with.

Fr. Chris Yule

Was an assistant priest at Christ the King Parish in Coventry back in 2020, now in Alton, Fr. Chris speaks about:
